FAQ
What is your backup process like?
It's anyones worst nightmare (for both photographer and bride/groom alike) to lose your wedding photos. While it is always possible, I take all necessary precautions to make sure your photos are safe from the time they're taken to when they're stored. I use cameras with dual card slots which means if one card were to fail or malfunction, there would be a duplicate copy on my backup card. I back up your photos to two external hard drives, two solid state drives, and the sd cards from your day are not erased until after the gallery has been delivered. Overkill? Maybe. But you can never be so careful with someone's memories that can't be redone!
What is your shooting style?
Don't get me wrong, I love candid photos just a much as anyone else, but I also know some people need more direction! I will capture your day naturally as it happens, but will also step in an give as much guidance and direction as needed. No need to worry about standing there looking awkward not knowing what the heck to do with your hands or your faces, I got you!
How many photos will I get back?
I guarantee an absolute minimum of 50 photos per hour of coverage.. but regularly deliver far more.
Do you carry backup equipment?
I always bring two cameras on your wedding day, both of which have dual slots for saving your images to two cards. I also have multiple lenses that cover every focal length needed and then some! I take the utmost care in making sure your wedding day photos are backed up and SAFE, as well as making sure I have reliable equipment.
Do you travel outside of southwest Michigan for weddings?
I absolutely do! Up to 100 miles of travel is included for your wedding day, and up to 30 miles is included for your engagement session. Any location outside of this range from 49055 will be $1.50 per mile one way. If your venue is more than 3 hours away, a single night lodging fee will also be added.
What is your turn around time?
My turn around time for wedding galleries is up to 12 weeks. The engagement session turn around time varies by the season, but typically 3-6 weeks.
