When to Schedule

Maternity sessions are best held between 28-34 weeks. Your bump is the perfect size for photos and you're still somewhat comfy! I recommend reaching out at the start of your second trimester.

Newborn sessions are best scheduled when baby is between 6–21 days old, while they are still naturally sleepy. I recommend booking during your second trimester to ensure availability, with your session date finalized once baby arrives.

Session Length & Flow

Newborn sessions last anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on the package you choose, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and breaks as needed.

Studio Experience

My studio is located in downtown Plainwell and is fully stocked with wraps, headbands, blankets, and simple props that photograph beautifully and won’t distract from your baby.

The space is kept warm and calm, creating a cozy environment that helps newborns settle naturally.

Parent & Sibling Involvement

Family and sibling images are always included in full sessions. I will gently guide you into natural, flattering poses so nothing feels stiff or forced.

Just hold your baby close and be present and I’ll take care of the rest.

Styling & Preparation

Parents are encouraged to wear soft, neutral tones (white, creams, tans, beige, etc) to keep the look timeless.

I provide a prep guide before your session so you’ll know exactly how to arrive and feel confident walking in.

I also offer a client closet full of dresses that you are more than welcome to use for your maternity or newborn session.

Safety First

Your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. All posing is done gently and safely, with experience, patience, and respect for baby’s cues.

If baby doesn’t settle into a pose, we simply move on. beautiful images never require force.
